Speech & Hearing Clinic

Our program’s emphasis on clinical research is evidenced through the L.L. Schendel Speech and Hearing Clinic, a teaching and clinical research lab operated by the department that serves community clients.

The goal of the L.L. Schendel Speech and Hearing Clinic is to provide effective community services that improve the communication abilities of clients and to provide a teaching and clinical research laboratory that seeks to develop exemplary assessment and treatment procedures for use by our students and professionals in speech-language pathology and audiology.

Speech-language pathology has consistently been ranked highly in the best 100 jobs in the US! The Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts that 28,900 new jobs will become available in speech-language pathology before 2024. Read more at U.S. News.com
