SCSD Shared Philosophical Goal

“It's not that I'm so smart, it's just that I stay with problems longer.”
-- Albert Einstein

As part of an effort to meet Florida State University’s Strategic Plan, the faculty of the School of Communication Science and Disorders have adopted the goal of helping students develop into curious, problem-solving, critical thinkers. In order to be successful in the fields of speech-language pathology and audiology, these skills and qualities are essential. Although the School’s faculty are individuals who approach teaching with different styles and strategies, they are at their core dedicated to helping and encouraging students to, like their field of choice, never stop questioning and never stop growing.
